Turn MBOX mailboxes from Thunderbird, Apple Mail or Google Takeout into PDF files anyone can open. Share them with a reviewer, attach them to a case file or keep them as an archive. No email client needed.
The trial previews every email and converts the first 10 from each MBOX file.
An MBOX file needs an email program to open. A PDF doesn't, which makes it the easiest way to hand email to someone else or keep it for years.
Give lawyers, auditors or investigators readable documents showing sender, recipients, date and subject, instead of a mailbox file they can't open.
Email programs come and go. A PDF copy of an old Thunderbird or Gmail account stays readable long after the original software is gone.
Send one conversation to a colleague, attach it to a support ticket or print it. PDF opens on Windows, Mac, phones and tablets.
Four steps in Magic Soft MBOX Converter. Every screenshot below is from the current version.
Under Source Mode, choose Single file for one MBOX file, Folder tree for a folder of them, or Thunderbird to read a Thunderbird profile. Click Browse Source and select the file or folder.
Folders and MBOX files appear in a tree with message counts. Click a message to check its subject, sender, recipients, attachments and body before you convert.
Click Export. In the Export Data window, open the Format list, choose PDF Document (PDF) and set the folder where the PDF files should go.
Click Start Export. The progress bar shows each email as it is processed, and a message confirms when the export is complete.

You don't always need a converter. Here's when each option makes sense.
The trial works like the full version with one limit: it converts the first 10 emails from each MBOX file. Previewing has no time limit, so you can check the PDF output on your own files first.
